Mark Chrisp

Mark has had more than 25 years’ experience as an Environmental Consultant and Project Manager. He is a full member of the New Zealand Planning Institute and is a Certified Commissioner. 

Mark is skilled at piloting complex projects through consenting process including the preparation of applications, designations, assessments of environmental effects. Mark has had extensive experience as an expert planning witness in hearings held by Councils, the Environment Court, and Boards of Inquiry. Mark has also been extensively involved in policy and plan drafting development processes, both in terms of being the principle author or such documents or as a submitter.

In addition to his professional practice, Mark is an Honorary Lecturer in the Department of Geography, Tourism and Environmental Planning at the University of Waikato. He is also the Chairman of the Environmental Planning Advisory Board at the University of Waikato, which assists the Environmental Planning Programme in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in understanding the educational, professional and research needs of planners.
