Kirsten has 20 years’ experience in the planning and resource management field. Her experience spans the central and local government sectors, as well as private consultancy. She is experienced in a variety of planning processes under the RMA, such as plan development, designations and notices of requirement and resource consenting. She has also worked under other New Zealand planning legislation.
Kirsten has wide expertise in resource consent analysis, plan changes and successfully guiding potentially controversial projects through the RMA process. She has key skills in the identification of environmental effects resulting from plan changes and resource consent applications, and is very effective in communicating complex issues to her audience.
